Trout Fin Muddler

This pattern is a variation of the muddler minnow based on the old Trout Fin Wet Fly tied by the late Ed Reif.

Recipe:

• Hook: Mustad 9672 (size 6 to 12)
• Thread: Uni-Thread White 6/0
• Tail: Red Quill Fibers
• Body: Silver Tinsel
• Wing: White Maribou, Black Maribou and Orange Maribou stacked on top of each other.
• Head: Muddler style head using white deer hair.

This pattern has been effective for brook trout and landlock salmon in both rivers and ponds.
