i'll play. Shang's Favorite.

Can we lock in a sign up date with sufficient time prior to the deadline so everyone knows their workload?

Furthermore, are these trolling or casting flies?

I thought we had a choice between streamers and nymphs. I have no problem with either but want to make sure I tie the right type of fly.

Looks like Owen decided on streamers in the other thread and the swap host said streamers in his first post in this thread.

Yeah this will be a streamer swap and June first is the dead line to have the flys to caddis15 address everyone tie six of your pattern but it doesnt have to be the same pattern if you want to do three of each thats fine too.

Are these casting or trolling streamers, as both are tied on very different size hooks, with casting being smaller.

I'm in. As long as someone describes how these fly swaps work, first time doing one of these.

I'll tie a red ghost if that works.

okay red ghost is fine tie six of them and send them to the address by june 1 so make sure they get there by then so send them like the 18 or something then Caddis15 will make sure everyone get a sample (one of) every ones flies. So you get six of a bunch of different flies in the end. Its fun because you get to see what every one else is tieing and how they are tieing.

Is this being locked at at 6 tyers or are we going to set a SIGN UP DEADLINE of say, May 11, 3 weeks before flies are due. I suggest this is the way to go, with a limit of 13 tyers, so that if all sign up, then everyone ties 12 flies and gets 12 flies back. This way we can get a bigger number of tyers. If all 13 slots aren't filled by May 11, then we go with the number of tyers who have signed up and everyone ties one less fly than the number of tyers.

Flies go to the swap master, with Return postage paid envelope, by June 1, and he returns the to all participants.

Number of flies will be determined by number of entrants.
Send flies to me.
I divide up and send one of each fly to each tier.
Normally on this forum we also collect a set for charity. Any problem with that?

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Send Scotch to the Swapmiester. :D
