This is one of our special times in New England.

Fresh picked native farm porduce.

Corn is my favorite and there is so many ways to prepare it, steam, roast, chowders etc.

And berries, blueberries in particular, sweet and versitile.

Here are a few of my favorites,

Enjoy,

Fresh picked early AM, sweet corn, served steamed for supper with lots of butter.

Then the kernels are cut from the cob and made to enjoy at breakfast.

My mom used to make corn pancakes when i was a kid. Oh man, I haven't thought of those in many many years. I might have to make some this weekend.

Fresh picked corn on the cob, right on the BBQ (husk and all) is just about the best vegetable in the world.

I picked 20 quarts of wild high bush blueberries this morning. The dry season has lowered the bogs so the blueberries are easy (relatively) to get at.This afternoon the wife and I are gonna get some of them thumb sized blackberries. Mmmmm....black and blue berry dumplin's with Martel's french vanilla ice cream !!!!! :D
