If you tie 5 of those up for me, I will..............um............fish them only when Max and Mal are not in the immediate area. We don't want to that fly to start out with bad karma!! :P :P

Very nice. Kind of looks like a lobster variant of wayupstream's "coyote crab".

Only after they are cooked, they are dark olive and brown before that. Occasionally you will find one that is orange when alive, but that is very very rare, an anomaly. Blue is another very rare color.

Not to contradict you but,new sheddah's have a lot of orange on them, especially the underside of the claws and along the bottom of the shell segments. As they mature and harden the orange is replaced with dark green or black.I've caught hundreds of thousands of lobsters while I was a lobsterman but in all that time I caught only six that were blue or partially blue. :)

Good point, Mal, and the sheddah's are what the stripers want. Even the hard shells have orange highlights around the edges. Looks like Sean did put some burnt orange in it, hit the colors pretty good. I just had some soft shells myself this week, less meat but easier to eat.

Forgot to say it in my last post, nice fly!

As soon as the low tides swing back to mornings I will get out there are give it some water time, I think it will do well.
