An idea I had

All ability levels are welcome and encouraged, as well as any instrument you can bring and play on a camping trip. Open to all styles of music. Singers welcome. I play guitar (20 years exp) and mandolin (much, much, less experience) and I will try to sing if I'm feeling it. Hope somebody wants to bring a conga or something.
What have you got? I think this could be a lot of fun, and possibly a really cool tradition. Who's interested?

Maybe BG can make up a new song "Ain't Got Nothin' But Twenty Inchers Blackghost Flyfishin' Blues"
What part of the country are you talking about?

I should throw this out there, too: I don't have a car at the moment, so I'm looking to talk somebody into picking me up in Portland if none of my regular fishing buddies can make this trip. Willing to cover most of somebody's fuel costs.
Still open to suggestions. Anybody interested can message me or email me at rayflyfish@yahoo.com

There is a guy at the Big Eddy that plays the bag pipes.
Herd the National Anthem one evening.
When we lived in Brewer there used to be a guy that would walk all around town playing the bagpipes, I kind of wonder if it's the same guy. Honestly, I have no idea who he was but I really miss that guy. Maybe it's because I'm part Scottish, but something about the bagpipes stirs my blood.

No problem with a ride. I have a Caravan so there is plenty of room for gear.I've been thinking more about this and I'd really like to make it happen. So far, I count three musicians including myself and a cook...possible dates that would work for me: 6/23-25; 6/30-7/2, or we could wait for September. I can make time in the summer, too, but I was thinking trout and salmon fishing. I'm thinking that if we are going to possibly lock up instruments in vehicles while we fish, it might be good to stay at a campground...maybe Big Eddy or Cupsuptic.
