I always buy what is called the rippled boat patch. If you google rippled boat patch fly then you will find examples of what I buy. I then cut it down to size. I usually pick mine up at Eldredge Brothers.

OOOH how it hurts to see those missoula bridges. Graduated from there in '05, lived there for 5 years and never wet a line. Oh how I wish I would have discovered fly fishing back then. Too much time spent chasing elk.
