In Topic: how's the boat launch

I launch my 14 footer at Seaveys all the time. I would suggest that you learn the area there first. It can be tricky making your way around there especially at low tide. You also have the tressel to worry about. The water zips through there. I would go to Pine Point and launch to be safe.

I experianced the same thing today down at the marsh.  Although I would have liked to get into a big one.  Catching double digit schoolies was a great change of pace as well as an encouragement of the fish stock.

One of these days a 50 pounder is going to come and take a big gulp of sandels and that fly is going to in its way.  Have fun trying to stop that one.  You might want to bring a life jacket so you can jump in and go for a ski.

I think you will slay with that fly.  In the past two weeks I have been out probably 6 times and all the stripers that I have caught and seen feeding have been feeding on small bait like that.  Hey if it doesn't work I know a few salmon in Sebago that would like it.

Mal, How did you do when you went out.  Saturday morning I was in the same place with the Kayak and I wacked them again.  Most of the fish were caught right were the little river hits the big river, just about right in front of the co-op.  I had the whole place to myself again.  I am going to be in good shape if I have to paddle this Kayak against the current some more.  However, I would rather be in the fish.
