Yesterday was a scary day for me. On Sunday I spent a wonderful day with my cousin and their beautiful two year old daughter. We watched a Red Sox game, road the subway and observed the city prepair for the best day of the year. My cousin was visiting from Colorado to run the race. We had a pre race dinner then my wife and I said goodbye and headed back to Maine. My sister a physical therapist at Boston's children's hospital volunteers every year with the wheelchair race. I've never had a worse feeling in my life than the moment I heard the news of what happened. Thankfully I quickly confirmed that my family was safe, though my sister was just 50 feet away from the blast. I can't imagine what she witnessed. I'm feeling so very lucky today and sad for those that were affected. Spend time with your family and tell them you love them.
