Some very good talent among all those artists. It was interesting to see their choices in subject fish, given the states they represent. Thanks for the link.

Who makes the competitor? Sounds like it should be checked out as a possibility.

MDIF&W Open Water & Ice fishing Rules dated 4/1 2012 - 3/31/2013 page 12
Violation Of Limits: It is unlawful to FISH or possess fish in violation of the number, amount, or size limit of any rule adopted by the
Commissioner.
MY take is.
Example: I read this as If there is a ONE fish limit rule and the fish is not immediately returned to the water alive but the fish is kept/killed then the Daily bag limit has been met. No more fishing that day.
If I am wrong I am sure I will hear about it.

Boy, that would be my interpretation too. And the logic behind it would be: even though you are releasing all subsequent fish, there is still some mortality to C&R. That would put you over the limit of killed fish.

Mal, I think part of why you like saltwater fishing is because its in your backyard. Freshwater fishing for you is now a long drive.
I love fishing the salt, but hate having to travel 1 1/2 hours in the hopes that I'll catch something.
Caught my first snook on a fly, along with some nice seatrout in Tampa this winter. Got a new kayak in Florida and am looking forward to my first redfish and tarpon on the fly from the kayak.
For me -- I like moving water, salt or fresh.
