    Pike in Fall

    i know Pike move into shallow water for spawning just before and after ice out. Anyone know what their activity is like in late fall? Would like to target them in the Belgrade area and looking for any pointers or advice

    Pike fly's

    My favorite northern pike fly in my two most productive colors, fire tiger and red devil. This fly is 6" long but casts very easily and is extremely effective on pike. Hook - 3/0 Mustad 3407 Thread - White monocord or size A Tail - 4 saddle hackle's Body - Crystal flash followed by palmered marabou Collar - Rabbit strip palmered Head - Livin' eyes, clear cure goo, color all but eyes with a sharpie

    Pike in August?

    Going upta camp next week, and thinking about taking my canoe over to Sabatus Pond for a day and chasing pike. Never caught one, they seem like a good fight on a fly rod. Will the pike still be too deep to fish well? Any other tips would be much appreciated!
