new echo glass rods

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have experience with these rods yet? I'm looking at a 6 or 7wt switch for steelhead fishing this fall and winter and fiberglass sounds appealing. $280 is not big money either.

Tim R. (@Echo) has been holding his own in a fierce market.... Just as nice a guy as Steve.

Just picked up my new toy from EBFS. Planning on taking it for a test drive this weekend on the WB. Should be interesting!

I have never tried a two hand rod I have seven different one hander was thinking my next rod will be a two hander. Kinda seems like casting is a different ball game. Now are all two hander considered a spey/switch rods?

Kevin - based on your recent video I am tempted to get the 6' 3 weight, since that's what it seems to take to land a 20"+ smallie. I will henceforth feel like a wuss using a 6 weight.

Of course, that's with Tait fishing. I'm not so sure I wouldn't have snapped it. Great testament to how strong the rods are, though.
