cork grip question

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to reduce the thickness of the grip on a rod? I have one rod I would use a lot more if the grip was a little smaller and more comfortable for my hand.

Put it on a lathe and apply some fine grit sandpaper.  Go slow.

Eldredge Bros Fly Shop in Cape Neddick will do it, give them a call at (207) 363-9269.  Easy to do, pretty important to have the right equipment though.  Bring the one you like with you and they will match it.

Might be a little late, but if you do take it some place to have it turned down, bring the rod with the size grip you like and have them turn it down to those dimensions.
